San Diego Golf Trips

San Diego offers plenty of good golfing opportunities while the rest of the family is off to the beach. One course in particular stands out because it is at a hotel in the San Diego area. The San Diego Marriott Mission Valley has a small, nine hole golf course on it. The golf course is cool because the hotel is so close to where the Chargers play football that if you are a hardcore sports fan you can get some holes in before you go to the game. Contrary to popular belief just because this is a golf course that is a part of a hotel the golf course still has plenty of staff taking care of it properly.

The course itself lacks nuance or tricks to challenge the seasoned golfer. It seems to be set up as a way for someone to take their business associates to a relaxing game of golf as opposed to something that is truly about the sport of golf itself. Presidio Hills is a much more well known golf course in San Diego that has been around for nearly eighty years. The unique thing about this course is that they offer summer camps for junior golfers there.

It is ten dollars a day for all non-senior adults to play Presidio Hills. It is eight dollars for each child and senior citizen to play those eighteen historic holes. I use the word historic because Presidio Hills is one of the oldest courses in San Diego, but the greens, fairways and streams are well kept. Presidio Hills is a place for some solid competitive golf or some good practice rounds for three dollars a day.
